Hey all, sorry for not updating about the contest - I was gonna post a reminder a couple of days before the deadline but my internet connection broke down. The deadline has since passed, but since I've been too busy to announce it properly I'm leaving the contest open to last-minute entries, as not everyone who wanted to enter has had time to. (It's not too late for new entrants, either! Rules and guidelines below.)

UPDATE 1/12/07: ID CONTEST!
Happy December everyone! Today is the 1st, so the club's very first contest is now open for entry.
GUIDELINES
The challenge is to design and create a DeviantID for the Shadow Raiders club. Be creative, your design can be whatever it means to you! There are a huge variety of IDs around the site if you need inspiration; use any style you like (just to clarify: it's being held in winter, but it's not a seasonal/festive-themed contest!) Please make sure your design is no wider than 400 pixels, though, otherwise the page cuts it off!
ENTRY DATES: 01 December - 28 Febuary
RULES: The contest is open to all members. All entries will be displayed in the club's gallery so a winner can be chosen by popular vote; I'll keep you all updated in the journal. The winning entry will be displayed as DeviantID on the club's page. If you just post your entry in your gallery as you would a normal deviation, I'll lift the entries from there and post them all together in the club gallery for judging. Thanks guys.

About the club:
War Planets/Shadow raiders was a CGI show that ran for 2 seasons before it was cancelled, one of the lesser-known projects of Mainframe Entertainment, creators of ReBoot. For more info on the show, visit the Shadow Raiders-related links. You can find pretty much every SR-related fanart on DA in the club's Favourites.

Whilst most people have never heard of the show, I've noticed moderate amounts of Shadow Raiders fanart on DA, so there are definately still fans around; maybe not be enough to form the basis of a fanclub, but we'll see how things go. Shows that are no longer running are kept alive through fanwork, right? I made the club to encourage fans to submit their art (or fanfics?), or just to show their support by joining. If you want to join, send a note or leave a comment in the journal/on the main page. The rules are the same as every other club on DA: obviously you have to like the show, and please add the club to your DevWatch. Making a link to the club somewhere (eg. in your journal) would be appreciated but is not obligitary.
I usually all the SR stuff I come across on the site, but if anyone has something they'd like posted on the club page as an actual Deviation then feel free to send it my way. You'll be accredited accordingly.
